Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 is a signal peptide capable of mimicking the sequence of thromboreactive protein 1, causing the binding of the sequence KRFK to the inactive transforming growth factor-β (TGFβ), leading to the release of active TGFβ and promoting collagen synthesis. DropPet® Colla-5 is a 0.1% palmitoyl tripeptide-5 solution that is easily soluble in water. Added to products, DropPet® Colla-5 helps improve facial elasticity, reduce wrinkles, increase cellular activity, increase skin moisture, and enhance skin luster.
